     I think we look at things that we haven't seen before or haven't took a good glance at before. We also tend to look at things we love the most. making whatever a person or animal is looking at is what would make an image interesting. So what if you couldn't see what that person or thing was looking at. You would have to fill in the blanks and figure out what they are looking at by their surroundings. 

     This reasoning is why I just wanted to do a portrait of something, like an animal, and not have what they are looking at in the image. Then I decided to make it black and white so I could make the subject more pronounced in the image.
